Publisher Catalog
The Publisher Catalog is your home to view all your App Listings on Insight Cloud. These listings can be private to your organization, or publicly available for sale on the app store. The catalog allows you to search for your apps and manage any content, tags, or media associated to your app listing.
Required Pub Info
Before you can create your first App Listing on the store, you will be required to fill out and save your Publisher Profile.
Create New App Listing
An App Listing is simply the meta-data about your app. This includes a name, description, tag line, and the tags that describe some searchable facets of the value your app provides. The app listing can be public or private to help control what you as a publisher want to list on the app store.
Drafting
When a new app listing is created, it is first in a drafted state. All changes that you make to your listing will be automatically saved as you edit. However, this draft will never be visible on the store. Publishing is required to make your app visible on the store. Use the drafted state to explore how you can describe / tag your app as you see fit. Publishing the listing (publicly or privately) signifies you’re not actively editing the listing.
Connect Viz Only App
For App Builders who create Sigma Apps (visualization only apps), you can create a new Insight Cloud app and connect it to your app listing by simply copying the Workbook ID from Sigma and paste it into Insight Cloud. This will not only create the new app, but give your org access to this app so you can assign user / team permissions to the app.
App Level Logos
In a case where you either don’t have an organization logo or simply want to have visual differences between apps, you can upload an app specific logo that will be the primary logo displayed on the app store as well as any subscriber’s My Apps page. If you do have an org logo, any app specific logos you upload will take precedence.
Tags
By adding tags to your app listing, you are adding searchable and filterable fields that enable your app to be discovered throughout Insight Cloud. These tags power search capabilities whether the user is in their My Apps (already subscribed to your app) or in the App Store (for prospective subscribers). These tags also drive recommendations in the platform for apps that serve similar / related purposes and functionality to end users.
Help Docs
If desired, you can link to external help references that are supplemental to your app and help explain its purpose / use / value / intended use case. These support docs could also be used to link to external references or anything you deem valuable to the app store shoppers and subscribers.
Media
When listing one of your apps on the store, you will need to upload media to help market your app. Media can be images or videos created of the apps usage / value or something related to your app.
Store Viz
Public apps are visible on the App Store, whereas private apps are not. Private apps can be used for your org in isolation. Even private apps benefit from thoughtful meta-data and tags so that users can easily find and search for those apps within the set of apps available to them in their My Apps page.
Price
Set an annual price for your app. When a store shopper subscribes, they will be required to pay the full amount of the yearly subscription within their payment terms (N/30 by default).
