Teams

Teams are a way to create groups of users in Insight Cloud. You can assign permissions to teams and so in this way, you are able to manage app access for groups of users in bulk. This feature allows admins to easily grant department appropriate apps to all members of a team.

Viewing Teams

When you navigate to the Org Admin menu, you will see the Teams section at the bottom of the left hand nav. You will be able to navigate to a list of all teams in your organization, or jump directly into the settings for a specific team.

Creating Teams

When creating a new team, you can select users, apps, or reports to associate with the team at the time of creation. All of these can also be added or removed later.

There are two ways to create a new team:

1. Click the "+ Create Team" button at the bottom of the Org Admin Sidebar
2. Click the "+ Create Team" button at the top-right of the All Teams page

Managing Teams

As you can see in the above screenshots, there are 3 sections of team settings.

General

General allows you to modify the team name, team logo, and delete unneeded teams.

Users

The users section allows you to add or remove users from the team. Clicking the "Add User" button will open a dropdown where you can search for users by name or email to add them to the team. If you realize the user for this team does not exist, you also have a shortcut to invite new users from this dropdown.

Apps & Reports

The apps and reports section allows you to manage what permissions the team has. Click "Assign Apps" or "Assign Reports" to see a dropdown that will let you select from what is available to the org.

SSO Groups and Teams

If you have SSO enabled, you will be able to add groups from your IDP directly to a team in Insight Cloud. This will allow you to manage permissions in Insight Cloud based on your existing active directory group structure.
